I am an Associate Professor and researcher at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. I am also a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and have a courtesy appointment at the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida. I am an Associate Editor of the Journal of Paleolimnology.
My research focuses on the environmental/climate history in tropical and sub-tropical watersheds.
